What we collect today

Jar of Life has no accounts yet. Visiting this website is all you can do, and we keep this to a minimum.

Hosting: the site runs on Vercel. Like any web server, Vercel processes your IP address and basic request data to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website.

Visit statistics: we use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to count page views and measure how fast pages load. They use no cookies and do not identify you; the data we see is aggregated. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used.

YouTube videos

The videos on the home page show a still image served by us. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play.

When you press play, the video loads from YouTube (Google Ireland Limited) through youtube-nocookie.com. From then on, Google may process your data and set cookies under its own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Where your data goes

Our servers run in the European Union (Frankfurt). Vercel Inc. is based in the United States; any transfer is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Request logs and visit statistics are kept only as long as Vercel's services need them, and no longer than needed for the purposes above.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct and erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Write to hello@jaroflife.com.

You can also complain to the Slovak data protection authority: Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky, Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava, https://dataprotection.gov.sk.

Changes
